As President of Value-Based Care, Joaquin oversees operations, strategy, and execution for Centrum Health. Prior to Centrum Health, Joaquin served as Executive advisor to the Evolent Health President. Joaquin was a co-founder of New Century Health. In his 15 years at NCH Joaquin led in several roles, including Risk General Manager, COO and lastly CEO. Joaquin started his managed care career at Physicians Health Care Plans and had leading roles in CarePlus Health Plans and the CAC Centers.

Joaquin received his medical degree from Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic. Joaquin and his wife Christy have two daughters and live in Coral Gables, Florida.
